Rentals and shared parking

EV chargers for landlords, flats and renters

Renters and flat owners can still get up to £500 off a charger, and landlords can claim per socket across their portfolio. We handle the permissions and the paperwork.

Renters and flat owners

If you rent your home or own a flat, and have private off-street parking, you can claim the OZEV chargepoint grant: up to £500 or 75% of the cost, whichever is lower (2026 rates). You'll need written permission from your landlord or the freeholder. We give you a short summary of the work to send them.

Landlords

Residential landlords can claim up to £500 per socket. A charger is increasingly something tenants ask for, and it can help with lettings in commuter areas like Basingstoke, where many tenants drive to work. We can survey several properties in one go.

Blocks and residential car parks

For managing agents and residents' companies, we design shared charging with load management across bays. You can bill each resident for their own use, or install chargers bay by bay as residents ask for them. Cable routes across shared parking need planning and permission, which we document for your board.

Common questions

Do I need my landlord's permission?

Yes. The grant requires written permission from the property owner, and so does the install itself.

My flat has an allocated bay in a shared car park. Can I get a charger?

Often, yes, with the management company's agreement. The cable route from your meter to the bay decides the cost.
