Homeowners with a driveway
The old grant for homeowners in houses closed in 2022. If you own a house with off-street parking, there's currently no OZEV grant. The good news is that home charger prices have come down, and an overnight EV tariff pays the install back quickly.
No driveway?
The on-street grant needs an approved cross-pavement solution, such as a cable channel set into the pavement. That needs permission from the highway authority, which for Basingstoke is Hampshire County Council. Ask us and we'll tell you what's currently possible on your street.
How we handle the grant
- We check you qualify at the survey
- You get your landlord or freeholder's permission, if needed
- As an OZEV-authorised installer, we submit the claim
- The grant comes off your invoice, so you pay the reduced price
Common questions
Can I get a grant if I own my house?
Not currently, if it's a house with your own off-street parking. The homeowner grant closed in 2022.
Do I have to apply myself?
No. Your OZEV-authorised installer submits the claim and deducts the grant from your bill.
Is the workplace grant ending?
The Workplace Charging Scheme is currently set to run until March 2027, so it's worth applying sooner rather than later.
