Moving a charger on the same property
Driveway works, a new porch or a garage conversion often leave the charger in the wrong place. We isolate it, extend or re-route the circuit, refit the unit in the new position and retest. If the circuit needs to be longer, we check the cable size still suits the new length.
Taking your charger to a new house
Many chargers can move with you. We remove it and make the old circuit safe at both ends, then fit it at your new home, wherever that is in the Basingstoke area. Check your sale contract first: if the charger is listed as a fixture, it may need to stay with the house.
Safe removal
If you're switching to a different charger, selling a car or the charger has failed, we disconnect it and terminate the circuit at the consumer unit. We can leave a weatherproof isolator for a future install, or remove the wiring altogether.
Common questions
How much does it cost to move an EV charger?
Most moves on the same property cost around £300 to £600, depending on how far the circuit has to go. Removal alone usually costs £120 to £250.
Will moving my charger affect its warranty?
Not if it's re-fitted and tested by a qualified installer. Keep the new certificate with your warranty paperwork.
